• The Victor's Crown

How time flies! We’re already nearing the end of January 2015. I am so thankful for all that God did in 2014 and am expectant for an even greater year in 2015! I am so excited to share with you some of the projects I am involved with throughout the year. I always appreciate your constant prayers and encouragement. Thank you.

At the start of every year, most of us like to write down goals and ‘new year resolutions’ we hope to achieve. However, a lot of the time, our plans don’t turn out exactly the way we want them to. We might experience both small and big bumps along the way. It’s very easy to feel discouraged and defeated. As we begin the year 2015, I want to encourage you today with this scripture from James 1:12:

“Blessed [happy, to be envied] is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor’s] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.”

Even when your plans don’t go the way you had hoped, take heart, keep the faith and trust in the One who holds our lives in the very palm of His hands. As this scripture says, once we stand the test, we will receive the victor’s crown of life! I don’t know about you, but I want to run this race with all I have until I receive the victor’s crown of life that He has promised those who love Him.

    Bless you my friends!

    Till next time xx

  • Keep Shining!

The past few weeks have felt like a roller coaster ride with both ups and downs in life. At times I wanted to cry out to God and ask if I could get off the ride and take a breather. At other times, I was happy to hang on tight despite the unknown, yearning for God to reveal more of His heart for me and this journey He has planned.

Many people think that being an artist in ministry is all fun and games. However, I have learnt very quickly that although it is such a privilege to be doing what I do, I have to constantly be wearing the armour of God to protect me from things that come my way in order to discourage me or knock me down. I take comfort in knowing that the Bible says that God is for us, is always fighting for us and He wins our battles for us. I know one thing for sure, that because God lives in me, I will always stay secured in His love, grace and strength. There's nothing else I'd rather be doing than building His kingdom with Him. Recently, God has stirred my heart even more for the lost. My heart sinks whenever I hear of someone leaving this earth who didn’t believe in Jesus, let alone get a chance to hear about Him.

     John 14:6 (AMP) says;

'Jesus said to Him, I am the way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me'.

My prayer is that I will see as many people that I encounter here on earth in Heaven. Eternity is a lot closer than we think, so we need to get moving and shining His light in our world. Whatever sphere of influence that may be, I believe that we are the salt and light of the earth, the vessels in which God can use so people can get to know him!

Therefore, I believe that despite the difficulties and challenges in life, as believers and kingdom builders it's time to get up from what has been holding you down. Whether it's depression, loneliness, anxiety or whatever it may be; God loves you and wants to heal and restore you so that you can keep shining His light and be an effective vessel in spreading the good news!

Friend, I want to encourage you today that it's time to start living out His calling and purpose for YOU!

    Bless ya!

  • Tuning Into His Voice..

Words can’t truly describe how amazing the past few weeks have been. I am thankful to be a part of building the kingdom of God.

Singing for the opening of the Don Moen and Lenny LeBlanc’s Concert was surreal. Serving on the same platform as these two "legends" whom I respect and admire greatly was indeed a great honor. I was a bit teary when Don Moen started singing his well-known classic; ‘God Will Make A Way’ and also, when Lenny LeBlanc shared his powerful song ‘Above All’.

My heart whirled up with emotions and fond memories of listening and singing these anointed worship anthems when I was a child. As I shared my testimony and songs from my album, I couldn’t help but stand in awe of God. It reaffirmed my desire to live my life honoring and pleasing God, shining His light so bright such that the lost will be found.

During my trip, I also had the privilege of leading worship at Cornerstone’s Sunday Services, as well as sharing at Revival Centre Church’s Youth Service. Seeing the youth encounter Jesus was powerful.

Together with Colin Mills, we recorded my final vocals for an exciting project, which will be released very soon. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the launch of this fresh project !

Upon my return from this event-packed trip, I had much fun at the ACC (Australian Christian Churches') State Conference sharing a song off my album with the congregation.

Amidst all the exciting happenings and opportunities, I remind myself daily to always tune into the voice of God. I know that as I constantly do, all will be well.

Ezekiel 2:1 (MSG) says “….'Son of Man, stand up. I have something to say to you’. The moment I heard the voice, the Spirit entered me and put me on my feet. As He spoke to me, I listened.”

It’s so comforting to know that the moment we hear the voice of God, He will put us back on our feet on solid ground.

Another scripture which reminds me of the power of tuning in to the voice of God is:

Revelation 4:1 (NIV) “After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.

I love that if we would just listen and tune into the voice of God, He will show us and guide us on what to do next!

Whatever you may be going through today, whether it be fatigue, confusion, doubt or anxiety, tune into the voice of God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds.

    Love always,

    Aarksara : )

  • Standing In His Presence..

Spring is here! Goodbye to the cold wintery days and HELLO to the warmer and refreshing weather.

Many people tend to do a ‘spring clean’ of their houses, cars, wardrobes and sometimes, perhaps even friendships during this time of the year. We are persistently seeking for change and new things. However, so often we forget that God is constantly doing a new thing in our lives.

Isaiah 43: 19 (NIV) : 'See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland’.

For those who follow my pages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, you would have been updated on what I have been up to and my involvements in the next few weeks. I had the privilege of guest-worship leading at the Just For Her Conference as well as the Shine Conference recently. God moved so beautifully and powerfully at both conferences.

There was also an interview feature on my journey in Bloom Magazine Australia’s Spring Issue. Make sure you grab a copy at .

I have also been invited to work on a project for the Zy Foundation. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the launch of this exciting project. I pray it will bless you and many others in the region.

I will be in Singapore to do the opening at the Don Moen & Lenny LeBlanc Concert on the 16th October. What a God-favored honor to serve on the same platform with these two legends! You can buy your tickets at Hope to see you there!

My heart is filled with thanksgiving for all that God has been, and is continually doing in my life. Many times I catch myself feeling overwhelmed and not knowing if I’d be able to fulfill my responsibilities and glorify God in all that I do.

In my reflection, I found myself just being in the presence of God, and the peace and joy of God, which transcend all understanding, divinely fill my heart and mind once again. This scripture in Jude blesses me immensely and I hope it blesses you too.

Jude 1:24 (KJV) : 'Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.'

So friends, let’s remember to stand in His presence, as He presents us faultless and fills us with exceeding joy! Stay blessed!

    Love always,

    Aarksara : )

  • An Audience Of One..

    Hello friends!

It has been an incredible few weeks. I have loved traveling overseas and sharing the goodness and faithfulness of God through songs and speaking engagements. There are many exciting projects and events coming up that I am privileged to be part of. Please feel free to visit (Facebook: and Instagram: @aarksara)  to be updated and be part of my journey.

Thank you for your continuous love, support and prayers. I am always grateful to have beautiful people constantly praying for and being with me.

With all the amazing and exciting opportunities, God has been teaching me more and more about keeping focus on living my life, honoring and pleasing to an audience of One. God alone is the One I want to please and glorify in all I do.

There have been many occasions where I have felt the pressure of having to please everyone but God. I am thankful for the Holy Spirit's guiding, directing and reminding me that ultimately the only One I have to please is my Heavenly Father.

There have been big decisions that I have been faced with : decisions that could propel me to grow even more or keep me stagnant. At times I feel like I just want to have a chat to God over a good cup of coffee and ask Him to tell me exactly what I have to do.

I was reading about Job in the scriptures the other day. He was described as an honest man; a man of his word, totally devoted to God and hated evil with a passion. He had a wonderful life; very wealthy, great family and friends. However, we know of the story. The enemy wanted to test whether Job was the all-star guy God described him to be. Job was tested several times; lost his wealth and his family. His wife kept telling him to blame God for all his misfortunes, but he never did.

Job 1:20 (MSG) says “Job got to his feet, ripped his robe, shaved his head, then fell to the ground and worshiped…God’s name be ever blessed.” He was the man God knew he was: faithful and strong.

I would like to encourage us today that no matter how many voices are trying to distract us, all we have to do is to focus on the One who has our very life in the palm of His hands. May He always be our audience of ONE.

    Be Blessed!

  • It Is Well With My Soul..

Hope you’re all doing great! It’s been a phenomenal few weeks. I have recently partnered with Bloom Magazine Australia ( I love the heart and vision behind this publication. Be sure to grab a copy of the Winter Love’s issue, which is out now.

Recently, God has spoken to me through various people, whether it is a word of encouragement or prophetic visions. I love that we serve an amazing and creative God! At times, I can get caught up with different circumstances that I face daily. So often, I would get overwhelmed and focus on the problem instead of my almighty and powerful Father in heaven who is in fact in control of all my problems!

I was having some quiet time the other night and read Psalm 100 (A Thanksgiving Psalm). The words resounded in my heart and spirit. I found myself speaking out “It is well with my soul”...

Even when I don’t understand why various things happen, I know I can always trust my God and declare, “It is well with my soul”. I pray this Psalm will bless and encourage you right where you are. Whether you are experiencing the lowest valleys in your life, or the mountaintops. I pray you will continue to cling onto the Lord’s promises for you and declare; IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL!

    Psalm 100 (MSG)

“On your feet now- applaud God!

Bring a gift of laughter, sing yourselves into His presence.

Know this: God is God, and God, God.

He made us; we didn’t make Him.

We’re His people, His well tended sheep.

Enter with the password: “Thank you!”

Make yourselves at home, talking praise.

    Thank Him. Worship Him.

For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever”

    Love always,

  • Worth The Wait

The weeks seem to be flying by! We’re nearly half way through 2014. It’s been an amazing and fun few weeks. I had the honor of sharing at a meeting in the heart of Perth city to a group of businessmen and businesswomen from various corporations. It was a humbling experience to have the opportunity to share my testimony about God’s faithfulness and goodness to a group of people who are a lot older and ‘experienced’ than me. I believe God used me as His messenger to this group of people and all in all, it was a great afternoon!

Recently, I have also been featured in Indulge Magazine Australia. To read the article head over to I hope and pray it will encourage you.

Currently, I am working on a new project with a talented group of people, which will be released later in the year. I have a few upcoming overseas trips as well. I am looking forward to it. Stay tuned for more details!

In the past few weeks, I believe God has revealed to me even more about the process of ‘waiting’ in the different seasons we go through. So often, discouragement wants to creep in and tell you that what God has put on your heart will never come true. Whether it be a job promotion you’ve been waiting for, perhaps even a new venture idea you’ve been mulling on for months, or a relationship you’ve been waiting for to flourish. It’s never easy during these times, while waiting to see your prayers come to fruition.

I believe God sees and hears every desire and dream we have (although sometimes we may feel like He doesn’t!) The amazing thing is He was there the moment that dream and desire was planted in your heart, He is with you right now in the waiting period, and He already sees that very dream be fulfilled, according to His will and time. The Bible tells us of how Abraham and Sarah were very very old, yet God fulfilled His promise and gave them their son, Isaac. I can imagine Sarah had already given up on her dream of being a mother, feeling that discouragement of not being able to conceive. Yet, at the ripe old age of 90 years old, God blessed her womb and she bore her first son, Isaac.

I want to encourage all of us today, that whatever you’ve been waiting and praying for, know that God will always fulfill His promises given to you. As the scriptures say, His word that goes out from His mouth will not return empty but will accomplish what He desires and it will achieve the purpose for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:11). Keep praising Him through your waiting season, keep praying and pressing into His presence. He is right there with you.

    Love always,

  • Power In Simplicity

Photo Credit: Aunchisa de Mello ©

During my quiet time I read 2 Kings 5. It describes how Naaman (commander of the army of King Aram) was healed of leprosy. He had heard about Elisha, the great prophet in Israel who could cure him. Naaman arrived at Elisha’s house and was greeted by a messenger that Elisha had sent. The messenger told him to wash himself seven times in the Jordan and that he would be restored and cleansed.

Naaman was very angry and offended that Elisha did not even come out to meet him and heal him right there and then. However, after his servants persuaded him to do as Elisha had commanded, Naaman eventually followed instruction. By listening and just carrying out that simple act of dipping himself in the Jordan river seven times, his flesh was restored and ‘became clean like that of a young boy.’

This story made me realize that there is power in simple things. So often, God will ask us to carry out responsibilities that we see as ‘simple’. But, I believe He wants us to know that He can move miraculously and just as powerfully in the small and simple things.

Recently, I sang at the children’s cancer ward at Princess Margaret Hospital. I was feeling a bit uncertain as to how the morning would turn out. I was very aware that the children may be so unwell to even respond. However, I prayed and went into the ward and just began to sing. It felt ‘simple’ as there was no stage or band, just myself and the guitar. But as I began to sing over the kids in that ward, I felt the presence of God move in that place. Children who were crying only a few minutes before were calm and intently listening.

At my former school (Presbyterian Ladies’ College) a few weeks ago, I was privileged to be the guest speaker to share about my journey so far. I remember I didn’t plan to sing ‘Amazing Grace’ but was just going to mention it as part of my speech. However, I felt prompted during my speech to just sing a snippet of the song over the girls and staff. I sensed a shift in the atmosphere and I believe seeds were sown that morning.

Over the weekend, I attended an event organized by Compassion Australia. We heard from a former Compassion child who is now an adult with a successful career and a beautiful family. He shared with us the power of the letters from his sponsor. Even a simple word of encouragement from his sponsors saying they loved him, and that they were proud of him brought so much confidence and healing into his life. So often we think, ‘Oh it’s just a letter’, but little do we know the impact and power in that ‘simple letter’ that can influence and change someone’s life.

I want to encourage you today, to think about the ‘simple’ things that God is calling you to do. Perhaps it may be something like faithfully loving your family, or even making a quick phone call to someone to encourage them. Whatever it may be, never doubt or allow yourself to be discouraged when you feel what you’re doing is not significant. God will move in the big things and in the small. We just have to be simply obedient.

  • Choosing To Live Life...Undaunted

Recently, I was reflecting on the past 18 months since I embarked on this journey in ministry and music. There were many occasions when I walked by the river and asked God, “Are you sure this is what I’m supposed to do? Are you sure I am capable of doing this? I’m imperfect, how am I going to encourage and help people when I myself have so many flaws?”

Each time I asked these questions, I knew God wasn’t surprised. Before a word is on my tongue, He knows it completely (Psalm 139:4). Every question is always answered with overflowing peace and grace. He created me. I don’t deserve this, but He has made me worthy. He has equipped me with all I need to carry out His purpose in my life.

So often, we are busy worrying and questioning our purpose. We start to build up fear and insecurities that were never meant to be there in the first place. Hence, making us ineffective to do what we are called to do, be it in the secular workplace or church ministry. In Daniel 3; Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego exemplify what it means to live a life undaunted. They had the boldness and courage that even if the furnace was heated seven times, fourteen times or seventy times hotter than usual, they were going to stand firm and declare that there is only one God. Through their boldness and faith, King Nebuchadnezzar saw the glory of God revealed.

My prayer is that I will choose to live a life undaunted by the circumstances of life, just like how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego chose. No matter how hard discouragement and disappointment try to squeeze into my heart and mind, I choose to live my life undeterred. Hebrews 11:35-36 says “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly reward. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.”

Friends, I encourage you to be bold, dare to live out what God has put on your heart, know that if God is for you, no one and nothing can come against you. You are worthy. You are loved. You are more than a conqueror. Choose to live a life undaunted.

To all the women, Happy International Women's Day !

    Love always,

  • Be Strong & Courageous!

This is my command- be strong and courageous ! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”- Joshua 1:9 (NLT)

Good morning (or night, if you’re living on the other side of the world)!

I hope you are well and are enjoying the New Year so far ! It’s been an incredible past few months. I have recently come back home after two amazing months ministering in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. Thank you for your prayers and support. It means the world to me !

I had the privilege and honor of leading worship and sharing the songs off my album at various churches and events in these countries. These included Cornerstone Church, Bethesda Community, Bethesda Katong, Kingdom City Kuala Lumpur, Romyen Church and many more ! It was so uplifting to see God’s people longing to encounter Him in a fresh and new way. There were many precious moments where I just stood in awe of my Heavenly Father.

I loved chatting with the youth at City Harvest, Singapore. If you missed the interview, head over to to listen to the podcast. I also had lots of fun chatting with Faith at Hope 107 FM. Feel free to check out the interview at

I had the opportunity to visit one of Compassion’s projects in Bangkok. My heart broke as I walked around the slums and met the beautiful people in the community. I am excited and expectant for the Day when God restores everything back to the way He intended it to be in the beginning : no more pain, diseases will be demolished and poverty will come to an end. Whilst we await that day, we can still do our part to help those in need.

I was delighted to meet a beautiful young girl who has been in Compassion’s sponsorship program ever since she was a child. Hearing her stories of how Compassion’s sponsorship program radically changed her life was truly inspiring. I encourage YOU to consider sponsoring a child today ! The positive difference and impact you will have on the child is extraordinary. If you are interested, please follow this link:

As I reflect on this phenomenal trip, my prayer is that I will be like some of the most inspiring people in the Bible - like Noah who was obedient to the voice of God, like Esther with her boldness to stand up for justice, like Job who still praised God through his darkest moments, like David who was a person after God’s heart and like Mary who sat at the feet of Jesus.

Have a wonderful day my friend !

    Much love,

    Aarksara :)
