  • "Holiness Is Consistency"

    Hi Friends!

It’s been a while- life is incredibly full as always; but God is so faithful, so kind and beyond generous to me. I’ve been travelling frequently for ministry and have been vocal coaching clients, song writing for new projects and organising a Vocal Summit in November 2017 (which will take place in two cities!). All very exciting! I’m thankful. Thank you also for your continuous support and prayers.

I recently listened to Ps Judah Smith’s message where he shared on the thought of ‘Holiness Is Consistency’. This profound thought struck a chord in me- if we want to be more like Jesus, we should be more consistent. Over the years I’ve met many different people, those in the corporate world, people in ministry, people in the entertainment industry- you name it. Something I’ve noticed is that many people struggle at being consistent in their relationships (with each other). I myself have struggled at times to keep up with friends and family. I understand that we all live very ‘busy lives’, but after hearing this thought from Ps Judah, it confirmed my thoughts on being consistent with relationships- just like how we should be with Jesus.

I’ve found that as I go out about my day- I always feel like the Holy Spirit prompts me to text or call specific people- sometimes I haven’t heard or seen them in months, but I’ve learnt to just be obedient. Often, the person on the receiving end would open up and share with me how they’re really doing/what they are going through. You never know when just a simple text or a short phone call could make a person realise how loved and cared for they are by our Heavenly Father.

My prayer is that we never get too busy and caught up in the race of life. May we pause at times and never be too occupied to show and express the love of Christ to the people in our lives or even those we have brief encounters with at the supermarket. May we always walk towards living a life of consistency. If I want to be more like Jesus everyday, then I also need  to be more and more consistent in every aspect of my life.

    God bless you!

  • Love Much. Love Well.

    Hello Everyone!

Recently, I feel God has been teaching me more and more about being immersed in His love. And, as a result of being completely immersed and soaked in His love, to be a releaser of His love in every season. The past few months have been packed-out but amazing : travelling for ministry, conducting vocal workshops, vocal coaching private and corporate clients, partnering with amazing song-writing studio projects and vocal production. God is always so faithful. I’m continuously in awe of His plans for my life, surprising yet fulfilling.

I’ve walked through seasons of great loss but also triumphant victories. Through it all, I’ve learnt what it truly means to be immersed in His love. His love is like a covering, a safety blanket that shields us in times of trouble and in times of greatness. I was reading Philippians 1:9-11 in the Message translation and the statement “love much but well” stood out to me. What does it mean to love? Furthermore, what does it mean to love much but well?

1 Corinthians 13 in the Message translation states what Love is:

    Love never gives up

Love cares more for others than for self

Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have

    Love doesn’t strut

    Doesn’t have a swelled head

    Doesn’t force itself on others

    Isn’t always me ‘first’

    Doesn’t fly off the handle

Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others

    Doesn’t revel when others grovel

Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth

    Puts up with anything

    Trusts God always

    Always looks for the best

    Never looks back

But keeps going to the end

    Love never dies

What I’ve gathered is that, whether we’re walking through a season of loss or a season of victory, I believe as children of God we can love much and love well-- irrespective of our circumstances. Even when we’re hurting, we can still care more for others than for ourselves, we can still always look for the best in others.

My prayer for you who are reading this, and for myself, is that we will continue to learn and live a life that loves much and loves well. It might not be easy all the time, but I encourage all of us to ask God… “Help me to love like You, help me to love people even when I’m hurting, help me to love much and love well.”

God bless you guys! Till next time!

  • Life Is Worth Living

Happy New Year Family & Friends!

I pray that 2017 will be a year of fruitfulness, divine appointments, fresh encounters and revelations of Jesus that will bring you closer and deeper to the One who loves you for all eternity.

As I reflect back on 2016, I stand in awe of God’s goodness and faithfulness in my life. I am constantly blown away by the God breathed opportunities. Throughout 2016 God was reminding me to be present in what He was doing in my life and to not get distracted.

Many amazing things happened in 2016; completing my Specialist Certificate in General Music Studies with Berklee College of Music, traveling the region to share God’s faithfulness through music, vocal coaching students, meeting my sponsor child through Compassion Australia, co-writing fresh songs and so much more!

Thank you for being a part of my journey. I appreciate each and every one of you. God is faithful, always.

“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living.”-Hebrews 11:1-2 MSG

I am truly so excited for what God is going to do in 2017.

“Here I am Lord, use me”.

    Love always,

    Aarksara :)

  • Never Lose Our Wonder

    Hey Friends!

The past few months have been jam packed with amazing sessions and engagements. I absolutely love seeing how the Lord moves in and through people. It's so refreshing.

I have been traveling and leading worship at various churches and conferences in different nations as well as conducting vocal and songwriting workshops. On top of it all, I have also recently completed my Specialist General Music Studies Certificate with Berklee College of Music, Boston. It was such an incredible and enlightening journey! I also recently was a part of a concert with Khun Anchalee Chongkhadikig. It was indeed an honour.

    I feel like God has been reminding me to never lose our wonder. To always be expectant and excited for what He is going to do next. We never know what God has in store for us, but all we know is that it's going to be GOOD! In 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (MSG);

'Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you've got, be resolute and love without stopping.'

I love this. My prayer is that I'll always keep my eyes and heart open to see the glory of God revealed here on this earth. It's so easy to get carried away with the pressures of this earth. May we never lose hold of our convictions and give everything we've got for the glory of God!

Friends, I want to encourage you today to never lose your wonder. Be expectant and ready for what God is going to do next in your life. It's going to be amazing. Get ready!

  • Back To Basics

    Hello friends!

Been a while since I updated the blog. The past months have been exciting and full-on. I am beyond thankful.

It was an incredible honor to serve, sing and lead with truly gifted and anointed worship leaders and speakers at the recent Revive Asia Conference. Some of the speakers included Bill Johnson, Heidi Baker and Randy Clark. It was a joy to be a part of this conference. It was refreshing to see a few thousands of people gathered to worship the name of Jesus. Wow!

I have also been writing lots of fresh and new songs/music. I can't wait to start singing them with you.

Another part of my journey includes vocal-coaching private students as well as worship teams in this region. I absolutely love this part of my journey! It is so rewarding to help and see people being released into all they are called to be and see their gifts and skills being used to their full potential.

My commitments over the next few months include conferences, retreats, guest worship leading at churches, conducting vocal and songwriting workshops. On top of these, I am also studying to pursue my Specialist Certificate in General Music Studies from Berklee College of Music in Boston. It's been incredibly challenging yet exhilarating at the same time.

Recently, I feel God has put on my heart of 'going back to the basics'. To keep the main thing the main thing. To not get carried away with the various pressures we all face, but to remain in Jesus every step of the way. I believe that when we remain in Him, He takes care of everything. Just keep it simple; love and be led by Jesus. He will do the rest.

    In the message it says:

'A pretentious, showy life is an empty life, a plain and simple life is a full life.'

    - Proverbs 13:7 MSG

Be blessed my friends. Until next time!

  • He Knows, He Hears, He Will

Fresh blooms and sun-kissed days. Spring has definitely arrived!

I am loving this new season. For the past few months, God has been teaching me much. It has been an incredible honor to be part of the various events and conferences. I had the amazing opportunity to travel overseas to lead a few songwriting, vocal and worship workshops. It is truly rewarding to see people from different generations being equipped and released into their different gifting and callings.

Speaking at PLC’s Chapel Services to all the year groups was a privilege. It is indeed refreshing to visit my former school and share with them my journey so far and all that God has done and is doing in my life.

I recently sang at the annual Just For Her Conference again. It is always lovely seeing women of Western Australia gather and lift up the name of Jesus!

It has also been an incredible season of serving and learning in my local church. For those of you who don’t follow my social media pages, I recently announced that my debut album ‘Made It Through’ is now available on Spotify! I pray that this will allow more people to have access to the songs and be blessed.

There are many exciting projects that I have been working on for the past few months. I can’t wait to share with you all! Thank you very much for sticking on this journey with me.

In 1 Samuel, we read about Elkanah and his two wives Hannah and Peninnah. Peninnah kept provoking and irritating Hannah for many years due to the fact that she could not conceive. One day Hannah poured out to the Lord, praying in her heart. Her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. She must have felt deeply discouraged and disappointed. As the passage continues, the Lord heard and answered her prayer with a beautiful baby boy, Samuel.

This reminds me that along the journey, there will be people who would challenge you and even challenge the calling God has on your life. However, through Hannah’s example, we too can also pour out our hearts to God. He hears our prayers and will answer them in due time. I want to encourage you today if you’re feeling tired or challenged by the circumstances and situations life is throwing you. Stand firm on the Word of God, declare His promises over your life and know that He hears you, and will answer you all in His perfect timing.

    Love always,

    Aarksara : )

  • Better Than A Diamond

    Hi friends!

It’s been an incredible past few weeks. While I was overseas, I saw our mighty God move in extraordinary ways. A quick update: During the month of April, I was in South East Asia and ministered at Cornerstone Church in Singapore and Living Streams Church in Bangkok. Also, the Zy Foundation project is towards the tail end of production and is soon to be released! I’m so excited for this and I’m praying that this will bless you all as much as it has blessed me.

In other news, Bloom magazine has released its fourth issue and this is now available for you to download. I am so honored to have been a part of this publication. I’ve also been working on new projects that are to be released in the next few months. Stay tuned! I really appreciate your continued prayers, support and encouragement. Thank you.

Amid the hustle and bustle of traveling, I am reminded more and more of the importance of spending time with Jesus and soaking in His word.

Psalm 19:10 (MSG) says “God’s Word is better than a diamond, better than a diamond set between emeralds. You’ll like it better than strawberries in spring, better than red, ripe strawberries.”

Isn’t this scripture beautiful? God’s Word is just so powerful, fresh and life changing! I know that at times life seems very ‘busy’ but it’s at these times that it is even more important for us to stick close to Jesus and be grounded in His Word. I have personally experienced the power of reading and declaring the Word of God over my life and in my daily situations and I can witness that there is always such a peace and assurance that flows.

I want to encourage you to take some time out today to spend time with Jesus and soak in His Word. I believe that as you take time to read and declare His word over your life, you will receive a fresh revelation.

    God bless,

    Aarksara : )

  • A Season Of Fruitfulness

One of the things I love doing is grocery shopping. I love going to the supermarket and buying fresh produce to make salads, green smoothies or to snack on. I sometimes forget that before that fruit became available for me to buy and enjoy, it started off as a seed scattered into the ground. It was then nurtured and may have also endured various weather conditions.

    This reminds me of all our dreams and hopes that God has placed in our hearts. So often, we think they would never come true or maybe they are not coming to pass because they are not in His will. We get discouraged and start falling into an attitude of defeat. Psalm 1:3 says;

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields it’s fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever they do prospers.”

This scripture explains it all! Sometimes God allows us to wait and go through a process just like fruits do, so that we may experience the fullness of all His goodness for our lives. Just as fruits take time to grow before they become ripe for picking, the young and immature fruits must first go through a process. In order for them to be ripe for the picking, they have to endure the sun, rain, storm and wind. Through their perseverance in diverse weather conditions, they then become ready and ripe for the picking.

As the scripture above says, we are like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in season. Whatever we do, it prospers! Amen. My friend, I want to encourage you today that when God places dreams and hopes in your heart, they are not there by accident! Know that there will be a season of fruitfulness, we all just need to go through the process. Stay planted by the streams of His living waters, and believe that He who put those very dreams and desires in your heart will let them yield fruit in the right season. Enjoy and embrace all that comes along in the journey!
